Introducing the 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid

Subaru's first hybrid -- the even further economical version of the XV Crosstrek -- is set to be released in the fall of 2013.  This announcement is music to the ears of consumers looking to combat today's skyrocketing gas prices.  Featuring signature qualities Subaru is famous for, such as Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and an astoundingly quiet Boxer engine, in addition to newly improved fuel-efficiency, this well-rounded crossover is sure to delight.

Though based on the Impreza hatchback, the Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid has added ground clearance rivaling that of the Outback and Forester (8.7 inches, to be exact).  This makes it the perfect vehicle for off-road adventures, while its compact size makes it ideal for zipping around the city.  Loaded with features like standard Bluetooth, USB port with iPod control, and heated front seats, even the base model exudes luxury.

The XV Crosstrek was already a gas sipper at 25/33 city/highway mpg. Now, combined with the already light-weight frame and continuously variable transmission, the added hybrid drive train makes the Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid even more appealing to drivers cognizant of their carbon footprint and their wallets. Especially encouraging is the knowledge that the hybrid version is built in the same zero-landfill plant as the gas-only model, minimizing waste in the production process.  It's an Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle, which, in Laymen's terms, means it's the lowest-emission and most fuel economical AWD hybrid crossover in the nation.

Earth-conscious, practical, and spacious enough for plenty of outdoor gear, the new Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid is equipped for adventure.  It offers the control and balance essential for Utah's unpredictable winters and the reliability drivers expect from a Subaru vehicle.
